Opening Projects

Idea, direction, creation and choreography 2018
Premiered on April 19, 2018 at Festival Sismògraf (Olot).
Opening Projects is a research and artistic creation laboratory that pursues the purpose of creating different performative and stage projects as inaugural acts for events such as dance or music festivals. Through dance, electronic music and voice, a dancer and a musician make up the scene and intermix their specialties to generate a poetic and welcoming staged speech to everyone present at the event. Based on the idea of thanking, welcoming, acknowledging, sharing and openly inviting to active participation, the laboratory intends to create new musical and choreographical mechanisms that thrive in and relate to the location, sites or contexts and build the particular openings for each inaugural occasion. These performative openings are intended for all audiences; they aim to invite both the general public and the professionals on the arts sector (artists, programmers, organizers, producers, directors, technicians…).

Artistic staff.

Dance as a meeting point and celebration. The movement as the universal language that makes us all siblings. Kisses, hugs and various meetings were part of the choreography of the piece.
